seamless projection on 4 walls

BORDER

THE CONCEPT

A seamless, slow-motion projection of flames flowing underneath a dynamic sheet of water.

The flames are dragged along under the influence of the water.

We see the projection on all walls of a room. The projection is precisely measured and does not cross the borders of the floor or ceiling.

In the slowed down imagery of the film we can see short, temporary, “energy sculptures” made by the flames in space.

As we become immersed in the projection, our observation slows down. Each flame and each water drop become momentary sculptures.

TECHNICAL PRINCIPLE

Using beamers, a projected film is “stitched together”, covering the 4 walls of a space without crossing the border with the floor or the ceiling.
