STRING PIECE
Proposal for a video installation.
Three video objects projected through a spinning string.
These video’s show the technical principle only.
The actual video objects will be provided by others, as an “exquisite corpse”. The three videos are unknown to each other and to me.
Their relationship will arise in the installation itself.
Example: A projected object on a black curtain. The projection is divided into a virtual form by the rotating string.
Example: The split projection has a life of it’s own, but dependent on the image from which it is derived.
Example: The “split projection” effect is easily visible with the naked eye.
Example: The video projection will consist of three random images selected by others. The projection will pass through a rotating string. Though the images will be different the form of the installation might look something like this…
